Cabrini Motion Picture Soundtrack

Angel Studios is honored to announce the release of the CABRINI (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) through Sony Music Masterworks. Featuring the original score written by Gene Back, CABRINI (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is now available through all major streaming platforms today here.

“It was a rare opportunity to write a thematic film score that is so classically driven and inspired by Italian opera, which is not something you often hear these days,” said Composer Gene Back. “Not only was I able to work with some of the greatest musical talent in the classical world, from the Bocelli family, Rolando Villazon, to Ennio Morricone's orchestra (Roma Sinfonietta), writing this style of music became uniquely personal as it connects to growing up with my father's profession as an opera vocal teacher. I was also lucky enough to have a director who was relentless in his pursuit of artistic and cinematic excellence, which was incredibly motivating, as this mindset applied to every single one of the wonderfully talented department heads who worked on this film."

Gene Back is the first Korean-American music composer to be selected as a British Academy of FIlm and Television Arts (BAFTA) breakthrough talent. A film composer and multi-instrumentalist, Beck’s scores include the critically acclaimed feature films COWBOYS (dir. Anna Kerrigan) and SHORTCOMINGS (dir. Randall Park). His work spans across film music, theater, XR, instrumental compositions, and songwriting.

CABRINI is based on one woman’s fight for the equality, health, and happiness of disenfranchised immigrants. Directed by Alejandro Monteverde (SOUND OF FREEDOM), CABRINI stars Cristiana Dell’Anna (Gomorrah), John Lithgow (Third Rock From the Sun, FOOTLOOSE),  David Morse (THE GREEN MILE, St. Elsewhere), Giancarlo Gianni (QUANTUM OF SOLACE), Frederico Castelluccio (The Sopranos), and also features Virginia Bocelli in her film debut.

The film has already achieved critical acclaim, currently boasting a 88% Rotten Tomatoes Critics Score. CABRINI will release internationally on March 8, International Women’s Day, in regions including (but not limited to) Australia, New Zealand, Hungary, France, Croatia, South Africa, and Taiwan. The UK will host a sneak peek on March 8 as well, with the official film launch on March 15. Mexico, Brazil and other LATAM markets will debut on March 21 and 22. New countries and regions are being added daily.

About CABRINI: From Alejandro Monteverde, award-winning director of 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘰𝘮, comes the powerful epic of Francesca Cabrini, an Italian immigrant who arrives in New York City in 1889 and is greeted by disease, crime, and impoverished children. Cabrini sets off on a daring mission to convince the hostile mayor to secure housing and healthcare for society's most vulnerable. With broken English and poor health, Cabrini builds an empire of hope unlike anything the world had ever seen.
