Angel Continues a Commitment to Drive Audiences of All Ages to Experience Films in Theaters.

Provo, UT—April 2, 2025

(PROVO, Utah) Today, Angel, the film & TV platform curated by over one million members of the Angel Guild, presented its upcoming theatrical slate at the CinemaCon Wednesday morning session. The presentation focused on celebrating exhibition partners who have supported Angel’s eleven theatrical releases, which has enabled the studio to experience remarkable growth, topping $360M in box office in just two years.

“At CinemaCon 2025, we unveiled the most ambitious and cinematic slate in Angel Studios’ history. There are no greater partners than the dedicated exhibitors who bring these stories to life on the big screen. We are all in on theatrical—bullish on the big screen, unwavering in our commitment to the theatrical window, and firm believers in the power of the shared moviegoing experience,” says Brandon Purdie, Executive Vice President and Head of Theatrical Distribution.

TIFF-favorite SKETCH has been signed to the Angel system for an August 6 release, historical biopic TRUTH & TREASON, and epic thriller ZERO A.D. are announcing title changes and release dates.

Purdie continues, “This week at CinemaCon reaffirms the strength and influence of the Angel Guild—more than one million members dedicated to shaping the future of entertainment and ensuring that stories that amplify light shine where they belong—on the biggest screens, in front of the biggest audiences, the way they were meant to be experienced.”

“In just our first two years, Angel Studios broke into the top 10 theatrical distributors in the U.S.—not by playing it safe, but by delivering powerful, values-driven stories that audiences are hungry for. Now we’re taking that momentum global, partnering with theaters and filmmakers worldwide to bring light-filled movies to screens everywhere,” said Jared Geesey, Chief Distribution Officer.
