Film synopsis

Based on a true story, the son (Colin Ford) of a traveling pastor (Dennis Quaid) grows up with a natural gift for baseball, but family expectations and a serious injury threaten to end his dreams. Told to walk away from the game, his sandlot talent still draws the attention of professional scouts. As he faces the toughest tryout of his life, he also confronts the tension between obedience and ambition, discovering how perseverance can shape both a future and a family.
