About Angel
Angel is the home of stories that amplify light. Millions of people can help choose which films and series we make next, and that changes how the work feels: creators and audiences build each project together, and the story behind the story matters as much as what ends up on screen.
We're a team that cares about work and about each other. If you want to help build something that Amplifies Light, we'd love to meet you. Join us and be part of stories that amplify light!
Summary
The Angel Leadership Academy is our 12-month leadership development program, built around four focuses: Learn, Care, Build and Amplify. It runs two paths side by side, one for Leaders and one for Team Members.
The Academy's leaders design and teach the program. You are the person behind it who makes it run. You'll own the calendar, the cohorts, the materials, the learning system and the tracking, and you'll turn the leaders' outlines and notes into finished session materials. This is not a teaching role, but an understanding of how leadership programs are designed will help you do it well.
Done well, this work means the Academy's leaders walk in ready to teach, participants always know what's next, and Angel can see who has completed what and how the program is landing.
Expectations of Team Members at Angel
- Amplify light in every action.
- As the owner of your outcomes, you are empowered to break down silos and coordinate with any and all people you need in order to reach your goals.
- You are ultimately responsible for achieving the outcomes while also using resources wisely, whether that be money, people, or time.
- Know your customer. It might be our viewers, investors, filmmakers, or internal Angel teams. Ensure you understand your customer and are providing what they need and not just what you want to build.
Essential functions
- Turn the Academy leaders' outlines, notes and direction into finished slide decks, facilitator guides and participant workbooks.
- Keep the Leader path and the Team Member path organized across the 12 months, so each session's materials build on the last.
- Prepare the pre-work, follow-up and practice assignments the leaders design, and get them to participants on time.
- Notice gaps, overlaps or unclear spots in the materials and raise them with the Academy's leaders.
- Research examples, tools and source material when the leaders are building a new topic.
- Build and send session feedback surveys, and summarize what participants are saying.
- Keep the Academy calendar, rosters and attendance for both paths.
- Make sure each session is set up: room, technology, printed materials and supplies.
- Load and maintain courses, assignments and completions in the learning management system.
- Draft Academy communications: session announcements, pre-work, follow-ups and reminders.
- Keep every Academy material consistent with Angel's Team Principles and language conventions.
- Track participation, completion and progress for every participant, and report it to the Academy's leaders.
- Send and compile session feedback surveys, and summarize what participants are saying.
- Recommend changes to scheduling, materials or format based on what you see and hear.
- Keep the Academy budget, vendor orders and invoices organized.
- Coordinate other People & Culture trainings and events as time allows, such as compliance trainings and new-leader sessions.
If you need an accommodation to do any of this, tell us and we'll work with you.
Competencies
- You understand how a leadership program fits together, and you notice when a piece is missing.
- You can take a leader's rough outline and turn it into clean, finished materials.
- You're organized: you track many sessions, people and deadlines at once without dropping any.
- You think a step ahead, so the room, the materials and the people are ready before anyone asks.
- You stay calm and find a fix when a session doesn't go to plan.
- You write clearly and warmly, and you catch your own typos.
- You're at ease with leaders at every level, including executives.
- You can keep a confidence, including about who is in which program and how they're doing.
- You take ownership, share context, and are candid with positive intent.
- You care about helping people grow and about our mission to amplify light.
Required education and experience
- 2 or more years of experience supporting a training or development program inside a company, with many moving parts.
- Experience producing polished materials, such as slide decks, guides or workbooks, from someone else's outline.
- Experience managing calendars, rosters and logistics for groups of 20 or more.
- Experience keeping accurate records in a spreadsheet or tracking system and reporting from them.
- Strong skills in Google Workspace, especially Slides, Docs and Sheets.
Preferred education and experience

- Experience supporting a leadership development program for a company's leaders and team members.

Work environment-This is an on-site role, and being present for Academy sessions is essential to it. When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team Members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.
Physical demands: Most days are spent at a computer or in meetings. On session days you'll set up rooms and move materials and supplies. If you need a reasonable accommodation to do any of that, tell us and we'll work with you.
Travel required: We don't anticipate significant travel for this position.
