Statement: Fraudulent Job Offers Using the Angel Name

by Angel | December 1, 2025

We’ve recently been alerted to scam job messages from individuals falsely claiming to represent Angel. These messages often come from people using names like “Rebecca,” “Evelyn Smith,” or “Riley Grace,” and may describe flexible “task-based” jobs, guaranteed daily pay, or requests to purchase cryptocurrency or digital tokens.

These communications do not come from Angel.

How Angel Contacts Candidates

Angel may reach out to people:

  • After they apply for a role, or

  • If they were referred to us by someone we trust

However, even in those cases, we never ask candidates to send money, buy crypto, complete “tasks,” or participate in financial exchanges of any kind. We also never offer guaranteed daily earnings or pay-per-task arrangements.

Angel will never:

  • Ask you to purchase crypto or send money as part of a job offer

  • Require “tasks” or payments to qualify for a job

  • Promise daily earnings or bonuses in exchange for completing assignments

  • Conduct hiring through personal text messages before legitimate introduction through an application or referral

  • Use WhatsApp, Telegram, or similar platforms for initial recruiting

Our Authentic Hiring Process

All legitimate jobs are posted on our official careers page:

https://angel.com/jobs

Communication may come from @angel.com email addresses or from verified Angel team members. Text messaging is used only for normal recruiting coordination—not for job offers, tasks, or financial requests.

If You Receive a Suspicious Message

  1. Do not send money or crypto.

  2. Stop communication immediately.

  3. Report the message as a scam on the platform where you received it.

  4. Forward it to safety@angel.com so our team can review and report it.

If you have already sent money or personal information, consider reporting it to:

  • FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3): https://www.ic3.gov

  • Local law enforcement

  • Your bank or financial institution

We take impersonation seriously and report all confirmed scam attempts to help protect our community.

If you ever have doubts about whether a message came from Angel, please reach out. We’re here to help.
