Patriotic German youth Helmuth hears and sees things that make him question his allegiance to the Reich, leading him to secretly write and distribute materials denouncing Hitler and his regime. SS Agent Müssener finds them.

Müssener searches for the leaflet's author. Helmuth increases his production and recruits Karl and Rudi to help distribute them. Hugo discovers Helmuth's radio and forces him out of the house. Elli reads one of the leaflets.

Why was it so dangerous and deadly to hear and speak the Truth?  Join us LIVE as we take a look at the words Helmuth and his friends wrote in opposition to the Third Reich! On August 11, 1942, Helmuth Hübener and his two friends stood trial in Hitler’s highest court. It was called The People’s Court, but the people called it the Blood Tribunal. Eighty years later, on August 11, 2022, Truth & Conviction director, Matt Whitaker, sat down for an emotional visit with Werner Sommerfeld, the last living witness who knew Helmuth personally.
