Based on a true story, this film recounts an angelic intervention to save Belle Richards and her younger brother Joe who have defied their Father's wishes and head out to collect tree gum.  They attempt to cross a rockslide but the shale slides out beneath them.  They are about to be killed when they feel themselves lifted and placed back on safe ground.  While Belle saw nothing, years later her brother Joe, while in a fever, tells what he saw during the incident.
