A portion of the original team had worked creating comedic advertisements generating billions of views before moving to create Tuttle Twins.
In early stages of development the idea of the twins having a magical genie was tossed around instead of a time-traveling grandma.
The voices of multiple characters, including Copernicus and Ethan, were only ever intended to be placeholder vocals until the team fell in love with them and they were ultimately cast for the roles.
From concept to the final animation, an episode takes about 7 months to complete.
