Following a historic agreement between Angel and Slingshot USA, the settlement ensures that the film — over twenty years in the making — will finally reach audiences across the globe this holiday season.

After an incredible journey filled with both mountaintop moments and significant valleys, DAVID and its companion series Young David have been successfully sold to Angel and 2521 Entertainment.
This transaction accomplishes what fans and investors have long hoped for — ensuring that DAVID will be released in December 2025 and that its powerful message of courage and faith will finally reach the world.
Why This Path Was Chosen
The global film industry’s financial pressures made this process challenging, but after careful evaluation, the offer from Angel and 2521 Entertainment emerged as “the strongest and most strategically aligned to release DAVID before the close of this year.”
The partnership between 2521 Entertainment and Angel was key in securing the desired December 2025 release window, perfectly aligning with Slingshot’s long-term vision and investor expectations.
A Redeeming Resolution
The agreement also marks a redeeming resolution to the companies’ prior legal dispute. As the statement explains:
“The transaction also resolves our legal dispute with Angel Studios. Both parties were released, and the lawsuit has been dismissed.”
