An Update on Runner in Canada

Dear Canadian Guild Members,

We owe you an apology.

Over the weekend, a Canadian distributor went rogue and released an older, unauthorized cut of Runner. That version was not approved by the Angel Guild. It was an earlier pre-Angel cut that contained stronger language and significantly more violence.

Angel holds distribution rights to Runner only in the United States. Even so, we made it clear that we would not release this film unless the Angel Guild-approved version was the only version playing in theaters worldwide. The producers agreed and announced their commitment publicly.

That agreement was not honored. We take this very seriously. We are working with the producers and reviewing options available to ensure this is corrected, including legal action if required. We are fully dedicated to upholding the Angel promise for our Guild members and their families.
