Based on a true story, four Mexican-American high school students from an underfunded Phoenix school set out to build an underwater robot for a national competition. With help from a teacher (George Lopez) and a budget of less than $1,000, they rely on scavenged parts, creativity, and determination to compete against elite teams backed by thousands of dollars. What begins as a long-shot engineering project becomes an opportunity to prove what they can accomplish when no one expects them to win.
