A Race Against the Odds

After open-heart surgery, David Horton believes his running days may be over. But rather than stepping away from the sport that has shaped his life, he feels called by God to inspire others one last time. His answer? A grueling 2,900-mile race across America.

The journey will push David to his limits, but the miles ahead hold a purpose beyond the finish line. As he meets people along the way, his determination becomes an opportunity to share hope and remind others not to give up.

A Marriage Tested by the Journey

While David sets out on his cross-country adventure, his wife, Nancy, faces challenges of her own. Supporting a husband with such an ambitious goal isn’t always easy, especially when the journey affects their life together.

At its heart, Extraordinary is about more than one man’s endurance. It explores what it takes for a couple to keep choosing each other through uncertainty, communicate through difficult moments, and remember the commitment that brought them together. David’s race becomes a reminder that lasting love requires patience, understanding, and support from both sides.
