Outbound Voice Sites Now In Beta

Angel.com has recently released Outbound Voice Sites in Beta. The Outbound API represents a great stride in Voice Site functionality by allowing you to develop programmatic outbound dialing campaigns initiated from your Angel.com IVR system. The Outbound API is fully integrated with Site Builder. Through this integration, recipients of calls can be engaged with voice interactivity and personalization instead of just listening to a static voice message.

For Enterprise level clients, this Outbound program is free during the Beta period. If you would like to be a part of this Beta program, please contact your account rep directly, call 888-692-6435 and say "Sales."

The Angel.com Outbound API is a Web Service component hosted by Angel.com. It allows IT departments and developers to place IVR based phone Calls using Angel.com.
These calls can be used for a variety of purposes:

  • Remind a patient to take their drugs
  • Survey a customer about their experience at your store
  • Alert a partner that stock of their product is low in your warehouse
  • Verbally notify a customer about the arrival of their package at its destination
  • Invite your clients to attend an event

Key Features

Device Detection
This feature allows the system to identify whether the call is being answered by a person or voicemail/answering machine. Users can create Voice Pages that are customized based on whether a person or voicemail answers. Users can then set parameters of "Connect" or "Do not connect" for both a human answer and voicemail answer. From a drop down menu, when set to "Connect", the user can choose the Voice Page to be played for either answer. If the "Do not connect" option is selected, the system will immediately end the call.

Outbound Security
Angel.com provides multi-tier security options for outbound calling. The most crucial security feature is the IP address-based security. All computers have a unique IP address. This feature will only place outbound calls initiated from the IP address(es) entered into the "IP Addresses" field in your Angel.com account.

Outbound Caller ID (Angel Number)
The "Outbound Caller ID" is the phone number that will be displayed as the caller ID for outbound calls. Users can select from any phone number assigned to their account.
