David Rennyson, President and COO
David Rennyson previously served as Vice President of Sales at Angel for over 2 years, during which time he helped Angel achieve nearly 60% year on year revenue growth. David came to Angel from Spirent Communications, where he held positions as both Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of Sales. As VP of Marketing, David developed and launched Spirent's IP services, field force management and DSL solutions. As VP of Sales, he formulated account strategies and designed solutions for large telecommunications carriers including Verizon, BellSouth, Cincinnati Bell, TelMex, and Puerto Rico Telecom.
Prior to joining Spirent, David was Vice President of the Network Construction and Implementation Group at Zephion Networks, Inc., where he helped lead the company's business development and strategic alliance efforts. He also oversaw the creation and deployment of a national OC-12 network, as well as the construction of metro fiber networks and backbone hubs spanning 28 cities across the United States. Previously, David served in a variety of capacities at Verizon, including Director of Operations.
David received a Bachelors Degree with honors in Economics from James Madison University. As a Rotary Scholar, he completed his Master's Degree of Science in Information Technology at the Engineering and Computer Science Colleges of University College, London; and David also earned an MBA at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
Don Keane, Vice President, Marketing & Business Development
As Vice President of Marketing and Product Strategy, Don Keane is responsible for global marketing and product strategy for all channels. Don is a marketing veteran with over 18 years of successful business and brand building experience at a number of world-class technology, software and Internet companies. Prior to joining Angel, Don was Vice President of Marketing and Sales at RingCube Technologies. Prior to RingCube, he served as VP Marketing at LegalMatch and as Managing Director/Vice President at Earthlink. He has also held marketing leadership positions at Intuit, General Mills, and Rustoleum.
Don holds a B.A. from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY and an MBA from UCLA. He sits on the board at Leadverse, Inc. a lead generation company in San Francisco.
Kevin Shelly, Vice President, Sales
A dynamic Sales leader and passionate executive with 25 years of leading organizations selling into Vertical markets such as Healthcare and Government, Kevin Shelly heads up the Angel Enterprise and Corporate Sales teams. Kevin has deep knowledge and experience in the areas of Consulting Services, Systems Integration, BPO, and Enterprise Software. Kevin is adept at leading and growing organizations of any size as he has led teams with Sales targets ranging from twenty five million dollars to north of one billion dollars. Kevin has served in Executive leadership positions at ACS, BearingPoint, Sybase and Oracle. Kevin is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Degree in Business Administration and resides in Oakton, VA.
Michael Mateer, Vice President, Engineering and Operations
Michael Mateer leads the Angel Engineering and Operations teams. Mike has over 20 years of experience in Telephony Communications and multiple automated Interaction Channels. His Experience in software development technologies and protocols include Voice over IP (H.323, SIP, RTP), and Traditional Telephony Protocols (C7, SS7, ISDN, DPNSS, QSIG, DASS2, and CAS). Mike also possesses over 15 years experience working with Automated Voice Self-Service technologies such as VoiceXML, IP Multimedia Sub Systems (IMS), and mobile operating systems and applications.
Proir to leading the Engineering and Ops teams at Angel, Mike was a Vice President of Systems Development at West Interactive where he led various initiatives around Advanced Speech technologies, Automated Voice Self-Service technologies, Contact Center technologies, IP-based Communications technologies, and Emerging Interaction Channel technologies such as Social & Mobile. Mike has that rare blend of operations and engineering insight with over 20 years experience both as a software developer and as a business leader for multiple engineering and operations teams.
Mike received an A.S. in Computer Programming Technology and Systems Analyst from Gateway Electronics, and a B.S. in Business Administration from Bellevue University.
Mark Skelton, Senior Manager, Finance and Operations
As Senior Manager of Finance Operations, Mark Skelton is responsible for financial operations, planning and reporting at Angel. Mark brings over 15 years of management experience in finance, operations and business development. Prior to joining Angel, Mark served as Manager, Services Planning and Analysis at MicroStrategy, a leading provider of business intelligence software. Mark came to MicroStrategy from Hertz Ireland, where he worked as Manger, Business Strategy and Analysis for the largest car rental provider in Ireland. Prior to joining Hertz, Mark held numerous management positions at Metrocall Wireless and Credit Agricole Indosuez. Mark holds a degree in European Administration from the University of Humberside, U.K.
Rodney Tanner, Vice President, Professional Services
Rodney Tanner leads Angel's professional services team, which assists clients with the lifecycle of delivering Caller First IVRs - identifying Caller First opportunities as well as implementing and driving continuous improvement from Caller First IVR's.
Rodney has over 15 years of experience in Management Consulting, Software and Telecommunications. Prior to Angel, he spent eight years with PRTM Management Consultants, most recently as a Principal in the Communications and Electronics Business Group. At PRTM, he led strategic engagements with Global 2000 Communications, Software and Consumer Products companies. Prior to PRTM, Rodney was Director of Strategic Alliances with OneSoft Corporation, where he established the professional services and ASP alliance initiatives, driving OneSoft's largest revenue opportunities.
Rodney has an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon, a B.S. in Engineering and B.A. in Economics from Virginia Tech.
Chris Keenan, Senior Director, Customer Experience
Chris Keenan is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in leading service delivery organizations to achieve exceptional customer service, operational excellence and business development. As the Angel Customer Experience Executive, Chris heads up Sales Engineering, Account Management and Customer Support for Angel. Chris is responsible for the voice of the customer, revenue growth, and customer retention.
Prior to joining Angel, Chris served as Owner & Managing Partner of Keenan Communications Inc. (KCI), providing contract consulting & interim executive management services, and presiding over several small business holdings KCI is invested in. Prior to that, Chris was President of AxTechnology and VP at Axel Johnson Inc., a holding company serving several industries including telecommunications. Chris also served in numerous senior management positions at Verizon Communications and the former Bell Atlantic. Chris holds an M.B.A. from George Washington University and a B.G.S. degree from The American University.
Ahmed Bouzid, Senior Director, Product Marketing
Ahmed Bouzid heads the Product Marketing and Product development teams. Ahmed has over 15 years of experience in the fields of Speech Automation and Natural Language Processing and has written extensively on Voice Automation and Voice User Interface design. Ahmed holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The George Washington University, a Master's degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, and a PhD in the Philosophy of Science, also from Virginia Tech. Ahmed is a co-inventor on several patents, awarded and pending, relating to Natural Language Processing, Speech Automation, and Mobility. Ahmed is the co-author of "The Elements of VUI Style," a book on Voice User Interface design, published in October of 2010. Dr. Bouzid can be followed in twitter @Didou.
David Toliver, Director, Corporate Marketing
Dave Toliver is the Director of Corporate Marketing, overseeing the lead generation and marketing communications activities of the company including lead acquisition, social media and content marketing, SEO/SEM, PR and online advertising efforts. Dave is an accomplished marketing professional with nearly 15 years of experience working with and leading in-house marketing teams across a number of industries including software/technology, legal and retail, as well as a background extending into graphic and web design, TV/film/radio production, and mobile app development. Prior to Angel, Dave's experience includes Broadband Marketing Manager at AOL, Franchise Marketing Manager for Pro Golf of America, and marketing positions at legal firm Crowell & Moring LLP and PR/Advertising firm Smith & Harroff.
